OPI Cuckoo For This Color versus China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald

This week I will be showing you some comparison posts with polishes from the new Swiss Collection by OPI (if you missed my swatches of the collection have a look here). I start with the greens. I have been asked to compare Cockoo For This Color with China Glaze Emerald Fitzgerald. I wanted to do this comparison from the time I saw both IRL :) On the right you can see the bottles. You can´t say there is any difference. Now both of these polishes need two coats, so no difference here either.

As you can see from my swatch, there is a slight difference between them. Emerald Fitzgerald (EF) has more shimmer which gives the feeling that the color has more depth than Cuckoo For This Color (CFTC). This difference is only visible if you look really close at them, so normally you just think they are the same. It depends on what you like more...OPI or China Glaze. I think the brush factor is most important here :)
Which one do you like more?
Stay tuned for other comparisons :)

  1. Thank you for this comparison, I have EF, so I don't need the OPI one. I somehow like ChG more than OPI :)

  5. Oh thanks, great comparison!
I think I'll go for Emerald Fitzgerald, since it's a bit cheaper and I just.. Like China Glaze! ^^
I also have more from Vintage Vixen, so I'll continue collecting those.

Also, CFTC seems to be a teeeeeny bit streakier..? Anyway, they both look great!

  6. I was wondering if those two shades are similar. And since I like ChG better I'll pick up Emerald Fitzgerald.

  9. I like EF better, so glad I got it. By now, most of you know, I'm not a big fan of OPI...it's just chippy on me.

  11. I opted for the CG since I can't stand the OPI pro-wide brush! They are soooo close! Thanks for the comparison now I def know I don't need both!

  13. Woww, so embarassing. I had both of these on my wishlist, but I'm gonna take the OPI off. I actually like the pro-wide brush, but I think OPI is secretly evil so they can't have my money. *looks around*

Thanks for the comparison!! My wallet says thank you too! ^_^
