I still remember when I got Orly Gumdrop (G) last year. I didn´t have a color like that and I was a bit afraid of it :) From that time a lot changed. Gumdrop has become one of my favourite polishes, I wear it often and I also got myself a few similar colors. One of the polishes that is close is Nicole By OPI My Lifesaver (ML)from the Justin Bieber collection. I was curious how they look side by side so here is a comparison for you. Seems like Orly has a bit more blue in it. Which one would you choose? Tell me.

gum drop! it looks just a bit brighter...x))
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I don't see a difference. :P But I choose Gumdrop because I already have it.
ReplyDeletehow do they compare to For Audrey?
ReplyDeleteCan't even see a difference!

Melissa: sadly I still don´t have that one :) Unbelievable
ReplyDeleteDík za srovnání. Já pořád koukám po My Lifesaver a nechce se mi za něj tolik dávat. Jsou si hodně podobné, takže je to teď jasné :)
ReplyDeleteMína: to určitě...My Lifesaver vyjde mnohem dráž, zvlášť pro nás. Myslím, že Gumdrop ho rozhodně zastoupí :)
ReplyDeleteThey look too close to choose. Somebody asked about For Audrey...I think FA might be just a bit more blue, but what do I know?
ReplyDeleteWow, great colour! I'd go with gumdrop, probably, altough they're really really close, but orly seems brighter.
ReplyDeleteNice colour. Not much difference between them but the Gumdrop definitely looks a better finish.
ReplyDeleteThey actually look the same to me ><
ReplyDeleteI think it depends on the monitor settings. Looks like they are so close that to some people they might appear the same :)
ReplyDeleteI was just comparing Lifesaver to Eyeko Vintage! Which is dupey to ChG For Audrey, which is dupey to that Chanel... can't remember the name cause I returned it!
ReplyDeletejbrobeck: great! Can´t wait to see that post :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Almost the perfect dupes!
ReplyDeleteLove this shade! Thanks so much for your comparisons. They really help. I hate how many polishes I have that are almost dupes.
ReplyDeleteO_o They look the same to me!
ReplyDeleteLucy: you are so welcome :) I love doing them, it is also interesting for me to see how close the polishes are.
ReplyDeleteSorry for this random question, but how do you use your lightbox... do you use it in a normal bright room or do you point lights in on both sides, or one side? I have one for swatches, but I can't quite figure out the lighting!
ReplyDeleteThank youuuu! :D
shimmerspark: I don´t take my pictures in a lightbox. I want them to be color accurate so I just use normal daylight, not sun. Works best for me :)
ReplyDeleteOh! Sorry, I must have gotten you mixed up with someone else who uses the lightbox with the black suede background. haha
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about that. :)
I'm going to only use sun from now on until I figure that thing out... my night swatches have been SO awful and so annoying to try and correct with Photoshop!
Thanks so much!
shimmerspark: nothing to be sorry about :) I hope you find your best light and way of taking pictures so that you are happy with them.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to go home right now and devote 2 hours to figuring out how to do it! haha! I've spent too many nights wanting to swatch because I finally had time, and threw so many photos away from being too annoyed at how different the color looked with the yellow lights!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the responses, you are awesome, since you have so many followers and still respond. Not many do. I'll follow ya forever! (Google follow, not like a stalker. hee hee)
shimmerspark: thank you for the support :) I would be nothing without my followers, so it is always nice to hear what you think.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather the Orly.
