In my previous post I showed you the new OPI Texas Collection. I loved the sorbets but didn´t like the VNL much. I said I will try them over creme polishes and today I want to show you how they look over a white creme. As you can see the more coats, the brighter the color. They still look juicy and I think this is the way I will be wearing them. I know it is a little extra work but I love how they look. If you don´t mind VNL then you don´t have to bother :)
I am showing you how the color builds up, so you can see how it looks after one coat, two coats and then with three coats. The polishes I used here were: Guy Meets Gal-veston (GMG), Big Hair...Big Nails (BHBN), Too Hot Pink To Hold ´Em (THPTHE) and Do You Think I´m Texy (DYTIT).

They look nice, but I just don't have the patience to layer stuff over white...plus, I'm not good at it, so there's always white peeking out at my cuticles haha.
ReplyDeleteThey look sooo much better over white. I neither like VNL, and that's why I was never interested in these sorbets, but now... :)
ReplyDeleteI only like them as sorbets. I have no problem with VNL and if you layer them over white they are...well, not unique
ReplyDeleteAnother reason for me to buy them ^_^
ReplyDeleteSo much better over white!
ReplyDeleteI agree with jaljen, but of course each girl has their preference. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your blog!

Thank you so much for doing this--I'd been wondering how they'd look over white!
ReplyDeleteThese are nice swatches! I like them over white :)
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how they would look over white, too! You should try them over glitter, they look awesome!
ReplyDeleteI like them over white much better thank you for doing this! Very helpful! :)
ReplyDeleteWell.. It looks really beautiful but I like them without white more. :)) But colors are sooo pretty anyway, with or without white under. :)
ReplyDeleteThey look so pretty and brighter too, but I do prefer to just wear it over a ridge-filling base coat or a really sheer white.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, what white did you use? In the one coat picture, it looks so smooth and streak free. I can never get a white base to look that good. ;_;
Hmm, zajímavé. Nejvíc se mi líbí jen v jedné vrstvě, je to takové něžné jarní :-)
ReplyDeleteI like the colors so much better!
ReplyDeleteLooks good!
ReplyDeleteNo mě vnl neva a ten sorbet mě nadchl. Já mám jen tu pokerovskou růžovku a přijde mi, že ve 3 vrstvách vnl nemá šanci, leda tak na fotkách - dnes jsem to fotila, tak jsem zvědavá :)
ReplyDeleteAm I the only one that, besides being annoyed by the VNL, preferes them without the white? I don't know, it just kinda like takes off some of the jelly quality.... I guess.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I think they look great with any number of coats.
ReplyDeleteThey're all gorgeous but I think I prefer them without the white layer. Strange of me because I didn't care too much for them at first. Your making me change my mind about them!
ReplyDeleteNice photos! <3 I love your nails. :)
ReplyDeleteThey look much better over white! Thank you for showing these swatches this way, I wasn't really interested in this collection but now I want ALL of these colors. :D
ReplyDeleteThey are perfect over white ! Love them <3
ReplyDeletenice, my favourite is GMG.
ReplyDeletei picked up DYTIT and now I want to put it over white an sandwich it between glitter
ReplyDeleteI love how BHBN and GMG look over white. Gorgeous!
