China Glaze Blue Year´s Eve versus OPI Swimsuit Nailed It! versus Color Club Cold Metal

When you look at these polishes in their bottles you would not guess they are so close as on the nail. Therefore I hope this little comparison helps you. I compared China Glaze Blue Year´s Eve (BYE), OPI Swimsuit Nailed It! (SNI) and Color Club Cold Metal (CM). All three are two coats on the pictures. No dupes here but they are close. Don´t ask me which is my favourite, because I love them all!

  6. I knew those were close! The best thing about ChG is that it doesn't stain like OPI does.

  8. I have SNI, and I think Cold Metal is in the Foils, so I have those, I guess I will pass on the China Glaze.

  9. Thanks so much for doing this - I had been tempted by OPI's Swimsuit - but now leaning to the CG - had no idea how close they were and seeing your swatches here I like the fleck in the CG NY over the metallic in the OPI one.

  10. I usually prefer China Glaze (I love their formula) but I think that, in this case, my fav one is Color Club 'cause the base color is a bit darker and deeper and it seems to have more shimmer. Lovely polishes! :)

  11. Thanks for this comparison! It's really appreciated! Now that I know how close BYE is to SNI, I'll get BYE because it doesn't stain and it's cheaper too!

  15. Thank you!!! I wore SNI for a week, just took it off, and I had to buff off the stains. I even had a base coat, it stained anyway. I loved the color - still have it on my toes - but my next purchase will be BYE!
