Good afternoon my dear readers. First of all I would like to thank you for all the positive comments under my last post, where I showed you how I swatched the whole China Glaze permanent line. Thank you so much once again!
I am continuing with the China Glaze wave on my blog with their newest collection for summer which is called Summer Neons...twelve super bright and neon polishes that are a must for summer!

As you can see from the swatches the collection just screams summer to you! As a whole the collection has a very nice variety of colours from a highlighter yellow to a jelly blue. Now you might say that we have seen similar colours before not only from other brands but also from China Glaze. Yes, that is true but I love these anyway. Why? First of all they are very easy to work with. Neons can be very hard to apply. These are not....they are not streaky and mostly cover in two coats (I used two coats on all of these swatches). They are also different because of the shimmer most of them have. My least favourite are the two jellies which are Ride The Waves and Under The Broadwalk. Other than that I love all of them. Just please keep in mind that they are even better than on my pictures...neons are so hard to photograph! Can´t wait to wear these on my toes on my summer vacation.

ReplyDeleteDid you apply a top coat over your swatches? I ask because They look glossy and usually neons are matte.
The swatches are not completely dry, so that is the reason. I do not use top coats for swatching but always when I do my nails for myself :)

DeleteI was totally ready to write these off. I've had enough with all the neons and they've never been my 'thing'. OMG...when I finished looking through your swatches, I at LEAST need half of these! The shimmer/jelly combo is amazing and your of course, your pictures do these great justice! Pink Plumeria and Surfin for Boys are my absolute favs!! Beautiful job, as always :)

ReplyDeleteSome great polishes in this collection! I love that there is some proper neon neons but some colours that are still bright but just a little bit more subtle! Can't wait to pick up a few of these especially Pink Plumeria, I'm With The Lifeguard and Flirty Tankini. Great swatches, thanks:)

ReplyDeleteReally amazing swatches! ♥ I'd just like to know how are they compared to Poolside collection, especially if is Love's a beach really compared to Pool Party, just with shimmer? :) I'm really not a fan of Pool Party cause it looks way to orange on my nails as in the bottle. :/

Ivana, I will try to make some comparisons asap. But I can definitely tell you that these have a much more easier application and better coverage than polishes from the Poolside collection :)

I'd just created my blog i invite you to see it. I'd like that very much! This China Glaze collection has very nice colors, and my favorites are Pink Plumeria and Under the Broadwalk. I have a few China Glaze and we can see that they're very good!

ReplyDeleteI want every one of them but probably will get maybe 5 or 6 and then kick myself for not getting the whole collection! Did you need to put on a white base coat under these like most neons need? I am thinking not from the couple that I can see VNL. Are they REALLY all neon or just some bright colored? I adore Beach Cruise- R. Love to know which you consider REAL neon vs bright colors. So glad that CG if FINALLY sending out collections to bloggers for review - seems this collection should have released in May and not June. Thanks for the major fab shots!
