China Glaze Holiday Joy Collection Winter 2012 - Swatches and Review

It is coming faster than you could imagine and I can´t wait for it to be here...yes, Christmas! Having tried these beauties I am even more excited about this time of the year. As always China Glaze Holiday collections contain those classic colours such as red, green, gold and silver. We have cremes and glitter and I think there really is a lot to choose from. Here they are:

WINTER HOLLY

GLITTER ALL THE WAY

ANGEL WINGS

GLISTENING SNOW

BLUE BELLS RING

PIZZAZZ

MERRY BERRY

CRANBERRY SPLASH

RED SATIN

WITH LOVE

PURE JOY over CRANBERRY SPLASH

CHAMPAGNE KISSES

If you are looking for some classic holiday polishes then I am sure you should have a closer look at these. I am absolutely sure you will love at least one of the reds. Yes, they are nothing special, we have seen these before but they have a great formula and you must remember that not everybody has hundreds of polishes like some of us nail polish addicts too. I also like Blue Bells Ring, the perfect frosty blue, it shines so much! But what I love most about this collection are the glitters. I think I will really have a hard time choosing my mani for Christmas Eve...will it be a dark purple base with Glitter All The Way on top or maybe a red base with Pure Joy (sorry about the bad swatch)? The glitters will be perfect for layering. On my swatches I used them alone and these are three coats, still not perfect sometimes. O prefer to layer them.

Let me know what you think, can´t wait to hear your thoughts :)

Today I want to show you my swatches of the OPI Germany Collection. I know you have seen these a million times but I still wanted to post them. This collection is awesome and deserves it! My swatches are in natural indoor light so that I show them to you as accurate as possible.

OPI says: "OPI embraces runway trends with the Germany Collection for Fall/Winter 2012. Drawing inspiration from Berlin, an exciting new fashion hub that blends classic looks with the avant-garde, the collection’s twelve shades offer a mixture of vibrant color, urban-chic neutrals, and reds in variations from light to dark."

There is not much I can say about this collection. I have already said the most important thing - it is amazing! I can´t complain much about anything. I love the colours, the formula, the coverage. I was thinking about my favourites and I would have to name at least half of this collection :)

I am sure you have many of these at home already, let me know which ones and how are you satisfied with them!

Illamasqua Christmas Nail Duo in Viridian & Glitterati - Swatches and Review

It is the best time possible that I show you a new beautiful Nail Varnish from Illamasqua. It is called Glitterati and comes in a Christmas gift set together with my beloved Viridian. I don´t know how about you but I think October is the best month for Christmas gift shopping...no hustle, late post etc and I can really enjoy it. Illamasqua also prepared a special treat for all of us, you can read about that at the end of my post after the swatches:

GLITTERATI
Such a perfect polish for the upcoming holiday season! Not only does it look great on the nail but it is a pleasure to apply. On the below picture I have two coats. The formula is a bit jelly with glitter of different sizes. The thing I love about this polish most is that the glitter does not sink in the base and shows really well.

VIRIDIAN
As I already said Viridian is and always will be one of my favourites.

Here is a really quick look I did using both polishes. I am sure all those nail art girls out there will think of endless possibilities how to pair these two. Nevertheless I think they look stunning together:

One more picture to show you Glitterati. This is one coat over Boosh (black creme).

So what are my final thoughts? I think this Nail Duo is really worth purchasing. Why not treat yourself or get it for some other nail maniac. Glitterati is really something different and I am sure I have nothing like this in my nail polish collection.
You can buy the whole set here for 24 pounds. I would love to know what you think about these!

And one more thing I wanted to let you know. Illamasqua has FREE UK AND INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY this weekend! NO minimum spend [even for international!] and NO code to enter... just get shopping and it will automatically give you the free delivery option! Great excuse to stock up on Christmas gifts!
